Deutsche Umwelthilfe e.V. (German Environmental Aid Association, DUH) is a non-profit association that advocates the protection of the environment and nature.
DUH facilitates dialogue between environmental associations, politicians and economic decision-makers, aiming to set the agenda for ecological and sustainable choices. In dialogue with companies and environmental policy-makers, Deutsche Umwelthilfe develops opportunities for sustainable business practices and eco-friendly products. Critical citizens, environmentally and health-conscious consumers and the media are important partners. Together with them, DUH campaigns for the careful handling of natural resources, biodiversity and the landscape.
Deutsche Umwelthilfe was founded in 1975. In addition to the protection of the environment, it is a committed consumer protection association with the authority to take legal action and is financed by private donations and public funding for the protection of nature and the environment.

THE FRANK BOLD SOCIETY
The Frank Bold Society (FBS) is a non-government organisation that was founded in the Czech Republic in 1995.
Protection of the environment and legal assistance in the case of environmental lawsuits are key activities of the organisation. FBS participates in various projects relating to topics such as low-carbon energy supply, climate change, air pollution control and public participation. In these projects, both mitigation measures that everyone can apply as well as comprehensive solution strategies for the entire region are discussed and promoted. In doing so, the citizens affected are provided with legal advice and support in regard to their right to clean air.

The European Union's LIFE Program is a funding instrument that supports environmental and climate protection projects.
The general objective of LIFE is to promote the implementation, updating and further development of European environmental and climate policy and the Community's environmental legislation. The programme has been in existence since 1992 and has co-financed 3,954 projects to date. In total, 3.1 billion euros have been made available to protect the environment.
